This looks to be an amazing car.....and I am a bit bummed, mine is paid for and in the mail, but it looks like I am going to have to sell it, due to the recent closure of our local onroad track. So I am going to stick with the dirt....If anyone's interested just send me a pm, not looking to give it away though......Serious bummer!!!!!

That's the thing. Tungsten carbide is not a metal. And I doubt your watch/whatever is made of it. It would be quite useless actually. Like all very hard materials (diamond for instance), WC2 is easily chipped if hit and non repairable. I doubt you can polish it at all, let alone to mirror finish. Perhaps it's worth checking with your jeweller again to see what part if any in your watch is tungsten carbide.

"Tungsten carbide can now be found in the inventory of some jewelers, most notably as the primary material in men's wedding bands. When used in this application the bands appear with a lustrous dark hue often buffed to a mirror finish. The color is more similar to that of hematite than to that of platinum. The finish is highly resistant to scratches and scuffs, holding its mirror-like shine for years. Although it is possible to inlay precious metals, woods, and other materials, these may be less scratch-resistant than the tungsten carbide portions."

You have a lot to learn niznai

And I dont think he said it was a metal. He said "like any metal it can be polished" meaning it can be polished like metals

Thank you cannon. Yes Niznai, I am perfectly aware that tungsten carbide is a composite material.

Anyone tried different gearing combinations to come up with a 4.8ish fdr? Since the t3 has a 1.9 ratio now I am going to have to change my gearing some. I'm going to need to purchase some smaller spurs but would like to know if a 90/35 and / or a 90/36 will fit alright.

based on the chart you can't do it with 90 but you can do it with other spur/pinion

like
84/33=4.81
85/33=4.89
87/34=4.86 etc

Thanks, since that chart is for 48 pitch does that mean that I will still be able to fit them with 64 pitch?
