Wha? There is no mention about a 2.3mm chassis on Xrays website. Unless you mean another brand?

they have a habit of not keeping up with what they have out. They have a couple parts out like aluminum front blocks and misc things that are new parts but they aren't on the site. I mean xray's chassis.

Default hpi springs vs xray springs

HI I run an xray: rubber tyres on carpet.

I only have the kit springs at the moment but have a full set of HPI springs from when I ran a Cyclone. Has anyone done any testing on the two different springs and what are HPI springs like when run on an Xray. I ve seen a few set-ups with this so I am guessing not to bad??

Funny thing is that the cyclone worked best with tamiya springs on carpet, but some xray set-up sheets have HPI springs on carpet.

Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated,

cheers

Default Flying Fox Outdrives

Hi there T3 racers. I am happy to announce that Flying Fox RC has released what we believe to be a great option part for the T3(or any Xray using a composite spool). Our Aluminium spool outdrives are made from American, not swiss aerospace quality 7075 Aluminium and anodized black for extra hardness and a stealth look. Our outdrives have a larger diameter equal to the driveshaft blade, 12mm rather than 10mm. This greatly increases blade life compared using Xray aluminium outdrives. In testing, people have had blades last for weeks! They also don't have the problem of catching the driveshaft pin in a notch like the composite outdrives do. This notch will bind your suspension on power and brakes! Also in testing none have been broken. Hope you all like how they look.

These are for 52mm driveshafts and a version for the 50mm driveshaft is less than a week away.

Not at all. Just got them back from the anodizer today. Shame I couldn't have had them available for the ACT titles! I didn't mention before that they are also proven to reduce the possibility of unwanted jump starts Seriously, you were very unlucky not to win because of that. You were not the only one to get caught out either.

I would be proud to have you use my parts so shoot me a PM and I will get some to you ASAP.

Anyway u can show a pic of your outdrives vs the xray alum. ones? The biggest issue I have with the xray outdrives is breaking blades when running with a 2.25mm front arm spacing and 50mm ecs. The xray multidiff works better in this configuration as the outdrives are longer.

I will see what i can do. I don't have an xray version but know someone who does. I can even post a pic of the longer outdrives that will be out in 1 week on my car with the setup you mention. 2.25 is only 0.75 more than stock so it should be no problem.

Will need about 24hrs to get the bits to make the pic for you.

That would be great. Just make sure to use 50mm ecs or cvd. You could also just provide the lenght of the exposed part if the spool cup.

Thx.

I was looking at this car...(and a few others from Xray)...but I chose the TC5R for racing at my local HobbyTown. It comes in the mail tomorrow.
