You are correct Alex did start off with Pink/Silver springs. He changed to XRAY 2.8/2.6 at some point on qualifying day because the track had changed from practise and it was much hotter. Teemu suggested XRAY springs for more traction and Alex put them on.

I think the whole XRAY team ran XRAY springs in the end.

I thought I read that Paul prefered the stock springs as well.

Once again 2.6 and 2.8 posted on his setup, come on guys, why post bullshit, the car feel and handling changes quite dramatically when changing spring brands, post the right info or dont bother posting a setup.

I am being serious. Alex and Teemu had HPI springs on at the start of qualifying, Paul had XRAY. Because the track was much hotter and had less traction Teemu decided to try XRAY 2.8/2.6 instead of Pink/Silver.

In the earlier rounds of qualifying Alex wanted to change the feel of his car and decided on either changing the ackerman or XRAY springs. He went for the XRAY springs and ended up qualifying pretty well .

I will pay for your hotel, entry, car hire, and plane ticket to the next worlds if you can prove Alex ran HPI springs. I sat next to him all week so I'm pretty confident his set up isn't "bullshit"

Yup. Your bodies will fit both cars with no mods. I am basing this off the fact that my bodies for my 009 fit my T3 flawlessly.
