We were all impressed too. It takes a lot to start handling the pressure of leading from pole. I wish I had it on tape. I hope Joey will keep it up.

Keep up the momentium, or as I like to say - don't be a failure! Show the entire North East how its done.

Should be 50+ 17.5T and 30+ 13.5T entries at Jackson this Saturday from the memorial day trophy race. Everyone should be so lucky to have a great race track like this in their area.

What oil have you chosen to start with?

Let us know how you got on.

Good Luck to all the Xray guys up there this weekend. I wish I could make it, but I'll be watching full size cars with big wings and 410ci. engines on a 3/8mi. dirt oval. Plus, there will be beer

I do need to get up to Jackson sometime soon though!

hopefully we FINALLY have a top team driver running rubber tires on asphalt at the Reedy race!

Seriously xray needs some top drivers who run asphalt/rubber. The car has been out almost a year and Paul hasn't even run rubber/asphalt lol

Might ditch my Cyclone TC and get a T3 EU spec. Will there be a big difference in this car? My TC is dialed IN!

Default spec-R gear diff

Well I havent run it yet but I built it up with Losi 100w oil (Its all I had). And ran it in on the bench like you would when you run in a normal ball diff by holding one side and applying partial power then the other. At first it feels just like a freshly built ball diff only slightly firm in the diff action. After about 30sec of running in it got super smooth and it has now stayed like that. I will put it down on the track in the next few days and post.
Still cant believe its in there and no more diff maintenance (hopefully, IF it works ok)

Exotec chassis...... slightly more corner speed, slightly more grip. Worth the $$$ and you pretty well need not add any more weight if you have a standard size servo.

I got the 416 version and have mounted it into my 3Racing Sakura, first run will be friday night.

I used 3000wt mugen oil
Feels slightly tighter in diff action to a fresh built ball diff.

At first the individual parts looked a little cheesy, but it all went together well, and the finished product is quite nice, definately a better diff action feel than the Serpent S400 gear diff.

Default Running Front Ball Diff

Question guys. I know the front spools are widely used now but I am wondering how the car handles with a front diff. Does it make the car more forgiving? Since you can adjust it for track conditions I am just wondering if it is better (unless the track is just stuck).

Opinions??
