Look around and you can get 4:1 shrink ratio

Most of the east coast guys are starting to go outside now. Carpet season is over for most.

I ran mine this weekend for the first time on asphault and it was great! My driving wasn't, but thats another story.

For spec racing (17.5), I know TP recommends 40C ..but is that just hype or is there really no difference? Been looking around and it seems the 50C are easier and cheaper to get a hold of than the 5000/40C's. I've been waiting to pull the trigger on one or the other of these packs.

And you ran a US edition T3 on asphalt? Other than springs/fluid and tires, what else did you change?

Euro/rubber version, didnt notice you said US edition. Little more front camber and .5mm droop all around.

Ive heard both sides of the fence. Some say the 40C heat up more in spec racing, so there faster. When I ran 13.5 my 40 and 50C felt the same to me. Id buy the 50C's though, been less puffed ones

This brings up a good question, when will we get a Lipo Only Chassis from Xray. As good as the T3 is, it still is a combo Chassis (and I seem to be underweight by ALOT). We have to be 1450 with a body right?

These other chassis like Smokem and Exotek appear to remove the rear chassis braces

I tested the TP 40c in 17.5 w/ KO ESC and felt it had more punch and top end compared to the 50c. I think the comparison depends how much current you are drawing and especially which esc you are using. For example, the 203v Tekin w/ 13.5 might like the 50c over the 40c because it draws a good bit of current. compared to the KO with the same motor.
