Default Help Choosing a Brushless Motor and ESC

I need help choosing a brushless motor with an esc.

I was looking at a Vortex or Orion Brushless to go with a sidewinder or mamba max esc. I like the look of them.

I am trying to keep the KV around 3300 to 4800. I just don't know what motors work with what. LRP has some good motors. Price is somewhat not an issue but I am still price conscious.

Thanks for any help. My application is drifting.

This isn't a very drifting-friendly site. It's just more geared towards on road racing and off road. Try Drccentral.com- that is a website geared towards drifting. EDIT: I'm only saying that because you'd get more responses. People here will definitely help, but I am just trying to point you in a better direction.

You need a sensored brushless system if you are doing drifting or on-road racing. I would go with one of the Novak havoc kits. They are sensored, cheap, reliable, have a kv rating in the exact range you want, etc.
