You can find some 10L3's if you want narrow - try www.socalrc.com - I think they have one or two in stock, and if they don't, AE is just down the street.

I'm looking for a Narrow chassis so I can HIDE it under a TC body... Now if any of the guys I race with read this it won't really be hidden.... I have an ancient bolink that will take 190 bodies, but it isn't worth puting a cent into it....

If you wan't to be different, you could try the Corally CCT (http://www.corallyusa.com/) or the CRC Pantoura (http://www.teamcrc.com/crc/modules.p...od&prodID=1108)

The pantoura looks interesting because it's basically a stretched Carpet Knife which I already run....

There's a couple of us who would like to see pan cars come back where I race.... I'm sure that once others realize how little maintanence they are aned especially with the narrow chassis's they'll want to cross over....

In a way that's what the US Pan Car Champs is all about (btw congratulations on the new addition). This race is a showcase for pan cars both wide and narrow alike.

Thanks (new addition...)....

I wish I could make it down there, I'd love to run the L2 and CK.... Yesterday I broke both my TC's (CGM and TC3) and didn't bother fixing them, spent the rest of the day just running my 12th scale.... The Tc chassis wars is getting out of control as is the cost to maintain them....

Default Carpet in So Cal!

If anybody in SO Cal wants to run pan cars on CARPET, the best stuff for pan cars, give Titus hobbies in Riverside a call. Maybe if Chris gets enough people calling him he'll firm up his idea of a carpet track in Riverside.

Back in the 90's there was Bob and Jim's track in downtown Riv. That place was AWESOME! Built over an old basketball court so it was glass smooth and had NO POLLS!!!

*sniff* I miss that track!

Let the odyssey begin! (Entries are now open, you have until April 30 so get em in!)

We will have decals ready to go hopefully this week for all the entrants. I will post pics of them when I get the final design work.

Also, the T-shirts are being finalized (with sponsor logos and everything) so hopefully I can post those pics up here as well.

All I have left to say is...

THE US PAN CAR CHAMPIONSHIPS ARE COMING...ARE YOU READY?

I thought I would put together a list of 10th scale pan cars (narrow and wide)

Narrow:

Associated RC10L3T
Associated RC10L3O (can be converted to onroad)
Corally CCT
CRC Pantoura
Cross Racing Fire Force (I think this one could use F1 and GT style bodies)
Speedmerchant SpeedSpec

Wide:

Associated RC10L2
Trinity EV10
Trinity SB10
Corally C10X
SpeedMerchant Roadkill10

If I am forgetting any (and I may very well be forgetting some) LMK

The Speedmerchant Speedspec is a 4 cell chassis, wouldn't really work for anything but oval and even then it's not set up for oval... The Roadkill 10 is a narrow chassis if I am correct....

You may be right. Although I could see that car running 4 cell 19T (or a class like that)

That would be the ultimate novice class and even a fun class for the others.... There's only so much technology and hop ups you can throw into a pan car, unlike TC's, so the companies make little money off them....

Sad...but true. RC has been possessed by the power of the almighty dollar.

I have always had a thing for GT1 racers (that's why I came up with that class for the USPCC). I like the sight of Saleen S7s, Corvettes, Vipers, etc, trading paint

Anyway, I think you're right about the Roadkill10. It isnt listed on the Speedmerchant website so hopefully I can look into that at some point.
