I think novak recommends 180 as a max temp for the ss5800 controller. Most people try to keep them in the 160's.

With the Novak Brushless system, one way that you can gear your car is by the heat of the ESC. We were running the Novak SS 5800 in our T.C.s at about 200-250 max and as the previous post states 180 is the max recomended...but a guy always has to find the limits himself!! Craig Miller, one of our local fast guys and past ROAR Canadian 1/10 nitro TC champion found the limits at 300F...meltdown...shut off...no work...racing done for the night!! lol

I hope those guys were able to help you out JJ. Im not planning on having a brushless class (already got enough stuff of the docket as it is). If I do add another class it will probably be an F1 or Indycar class for the road course. 6 cells stock motors most likely if I do add it.

But in any case, Taz is in Chicago for the IMHE show. He had a real promising meeting with Corally so hopefully that will bloom into something big. He will be meeting with a couple other companies today and I will keep you all posted on how that goes.

Oh and I got word from Mr. Davis that the website will be ready in some form or fashion middle of next week. I will let you know about that.

Hey folks, a couple changes to the US Pan Car Championships I should make you aware of. First, the race has been rescheduled to May 14-15 from the original April 28-May 1 date. As noted by the new dates, the second point in that the race is being condensed to a 2 day event. Do any of you have an aversion to this. These changes were made as a matter of convenience as well as to ensure we werent competing with a ROAR event (the ROAR Gas Nationals in Harlingen are the same weekend as our original date).

I know you guys are out there somewhere...

To bad it's in Texas! I used to race Pan Cars all the time! Just recently I raced my CRC Pantoura against the 4WD guys and did fine. I just love how smooth they can be! I also used to race some oval back in the day Street Spec Style, but that died out!

Default Pan 1/10th

Hi !

Im often on this forum but rarely post, I wanted to tell you that Im a Die Hard fan of 1/10th Pan cars.

Up here in Canada, More specifically in Gatineau, Quebec (www.rcottawa.com) , I along with other pan car fanatics tried to start the pan car class up again, We where able to run a 3 qual and a Main a few race days ago.

If I had the choice I would run pan cars over running my slow Bricks (Sedans) / Motor Killers LOL ... but local racers are 95% Sedan.

I still have and enjoy running my RC10L2 and my two other RC10L3T's .. and also run 2 Xray's (EVo2 & FK), I got rid of all other cars and trucks I only kep the best ones

Although I race sedan on a regular basis for the past 5 years , I have owned over 20 pan cars and been racing them when racing is available for the past 10 years.

Id love to go to the US pan car Championship in Texas, but to go there would cost me close to a 1500$ alltogetter. time will tell.

We run 6 cell 1/10 pan with 19T Cham. Epic motors indoor, its a blast, the times are faster then 1/10 Scale Stock Sedan but a bit slower then a 19T Sedan on our tight indoor circuit

I also collect 1/10 scale 235mm Pan car (GTP) unpainted bodies I can find:

I have:
-Pro-line Peugeot 905b groupe C
-Associated Nissan 92 GTP
-PSE Porsche 956
-PSE Porsche 962
-Hotbodies Toyota GT1

Im Looking for:
-Protoform Nissan P35 GTP
-Mccallister Nissan NPT90 part # 146
-Mazda 787B (I dont know if any 1/10 scale 235mm body where ever done with this one)

Im also getting a 190mm HPI BMW GT body for one of my RC10L3T. www.hpiracing.com/graphics/bodies/7452m3.jpg ... I know its a sedan body but .. if you look at it from behind with the 50+mm wide rear tires on the L3T you just got to love it.

Once I get a good pict taken of my fleet I will post it.

keep this post Alive !

Matts.
