Geographically, Denver is more central overall.

However, it's a pain to get to from the West Coast - those pesky Rocky Mtns (I like MTNS . . .miss snow. . . )mean you have to pretty much go East then North meaning that it's close to the same distance from LA, via FWYs.

TX is physically closer to the East Coast. Much closer to FLA and GA and pretty much the same distance when talking about Philly.

Except for Seattle and Minnesota, yeah, it's either a tossup or more convenient than Denver. . . and in April/May both should be nice.

Although - those mountains sure are pretty! did I say I miss mtns and snow?

Please, no offense to my R/C brethren in Iowa or Missouri, I'm sure they a nice place to visit..
If the race is here in San Antonio the track is about a 7 min drive from the airport. Also if you plan on bringing the Wife you can visit the Alamo and Riverwalk which is very romantic....you'll gain cool points from the wife

To Dpowell:
I tested the car last sunday in really cold weather. I started the day with the setup I'd likely use for warm weather. Of course it wasn't perfect, but the car very very adjustable. I changed one thing at the time, and with every change I could clearly feel the difference. At the end off the day my friend Ronald, who I was training with couldn't keep up anymore. The car was dialled!
It stayed planted in the corners like I've never seen it do before!

I've attached a picture of the bare chassis before assembly. It's a 3mm carbon plate, machined by my friend Ronald.

Is there a good reason why you couldnt put some of the componenets of a sedan suspension on it, like lower arms and caster blocks?

YOud need to fashion a bulkhead to mount the springs and dampers and upper camber link to.

I just think this would make changing caster and kick-up, antidive a real snap. And with 6-cells and mod motor-will the weght be a factor?

You know - we'd always held off simply because of weight - and with stock, weight is a BIG issue (ask Thirdplace how much faster he was without the old-style transponder. . . )

and, most guys still running at SoCal/Rev run stock at SoCal and mod at Rev so they aren't going to be too enthusiastic about modifying their stock car or purchasing a dedicated mod car.

However, all that being said, if it's a dedicated mod car. . .hmmmmmm

Boomer-also-you could change wheelbase slightly (put three sets of holes in for servo mounts) and also chnage roll centers-just like that and not upset every other setting....

Man-these 1/10th cars if they took off open a whole slew of engineering possibilities!! All you need is a friend with a mill and a lathe!! Got that!!

Default Vegas

How about Vegas. Cheap flights, cheap rooms, and a deal can be had on airfare from anyware in the country. I could even talk the wife into going.

trackdesigner71,
I just picked up a 10L2 to run @ So Cal from time to time. I'd be very interested in your race. Are you still looking for locations?

I like the idea of Vegas but I don't personally know if any tracks there. I'm sure Revelation has been mentioned which would be good for me and the So Cal guys.
