Oh and tentatively add Maverick Oval Racing and add CRC to the list as well. Im hoping to hear back from Trinity soon adn Im sending a letter to AE probably over the weekend. Also I got somebody workin on a teaser website for it. The "rough draft" should be up within a day or so. We'll probably have the teaser up til the summertime (which will give us time to get sponsors together) and then we can turn it into a full fledged website then. Hows that sound Hec?

How about also offering an F-1 class at this race? Not the new 4WD Tamiya car, but the old pan type chassis. If we're gonna be knockin the dust off the old pan cars, we better bring them all. :-) I for 1 would love to run my F-1 car again.

just an idea...

In a sense we will be. One of the classes is a 6 cell 19t touring/GT1 class. Tamiya F103LMs fit in this category. You can run your F103 in the class if you want.

actually, I have a CRC F-1. (i kinda have to...lol)

i meant run them with F-1 bodies, ya know with wings FRONT & Rear. It'd be awesome. bring out the tamiya's, HPI's, Corally's, and of course CRC's. There's got to be just as many of these (or close) sitting on peoples shelves as there is 235 cars. Let's bring 'em out people! If there is a class for these at this race, you can guarantee at least a few Team CRC drivers.

peace,
jw

Default Information

I saw on the carally website (europe) that they still sell the porsche and toyota hotbodies.

They have all tires you want for pro ten...green, purple, pink, yellow, silver star..... goldstar (made basically for nitro cars but very good when there is too much grip)...

The Porsche body delivers a lot less steering than the Toyota, keep that in mind.

Compared to Jaco and TRC, Corally's tyres are all softer compounds. They seem to provide more grip, but wear a lot more.
If you have a car that's balanced on say Pink-Green Jaco's, it will probibly be equally balanced on Pink-Green Corally's. The only difference is that Corally's Yellow is harder than Green! With Jaco's this is the other way round!
The Goldstars are really strange tyres. They hook up very well on carpet, without sauce. Otherwise, they didn't seem to perform as well as the regular colours.
The silverstars are a low budget compound, which provids slightly more grip than Corally green. They wear like insane though.

EddieO - The hot ticket on tires for 1/10th carpet was Purple front and White rear. This was to prevent dumping the 2000 cells we used to run back then. I bet we'd run Purple or Dbl Pink Fronts with Pink rears now...at least in Mod.

On Asphalt we would certainly run Purple or Dbl Pink Fronts with Pink rears.

Don't count on it Adrian. I've seen a guy TRY to run with ppl fronts and he was a plow-monkey. This was at Revelation and it's VERY high grip so he was going on and on about how we were using the wrong tires and how he was going to tear us up with the Ppls. . .we ended up selling him a set of pink fronts and green rears.

As we've said to others, on the other thread, start with Green/Green or Pink/Green (TRC or Jaco) and work from there.

Or, bring Ppl's to the race . . . and watch us whiz by you!
