Plus, add Japan (which is still pretty big) and we'll have a very good sized contingent.

I'm actually trying to get enough interest for our last and final winter trophy event next month. "March Carpet Wars". If I can get at least 5 definates, we'll make it a provisional. We won't race for the trophies, but we will not pay race fees either. Just to get the exposure out there.

1/10 Pan Car Open. Run what you brung as one post said earlier.
200mm or 235mm.

I am of the same opinion as Bullfrog. I have a 4 cell Speedmerchant SpeedSpec 1/10 scale that is of a narrow format. The body is a Protoform Porsche GT1. We ran 4 cell 19T and had a blast. The narrow format makes the car more raceable on the small carpet tracks where 1/12 scale and the touring cars currently race. There is a wide range of bodies that can be used. I think many would like the 190mm touring car bodies and others would want to use GTP type bodies. But you can't beat the cost vs fun factor with these cars. I suggest all that support this type racing make a solid effort to run them at your local track. Organize yourselves so that the race director will include you in the program. We must crawl before we walk, walk before we run. Once we are running, the sky is the limit.

No, see: http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXKC85&P=7 and your LHS should be able to order it for you as well.

So if I am reading some of the posts on this thread.....6 cell mod is a little bit too much for indoor carpet? Hopefully the RC10L2 isn't too wide??? We have an indoor carpet track, about medium size. I would say its about 2/3 the width and 2/3 the length of snowbirds.

Anyone have any experience tire wise on carpet? Our track mainly uses cyan/magenta or plaid/purple for touring and I think purple/grey for 1/12th scale.

Also looking for the hot body for carpet.

We don't get to race much outdoors here in seattle, especially during the winter.....summer gets a little better.

Later EddieO

EddieO-do you race at Burien?

Man-this thread has gotten pretty wild and heated. I gotta say that if its indoors-some GT1 and GTP cars on 200mm chasis in Modified mode would be a ride and a half!! e-ticket!! I guess it would be like a drivig a [email protected]$$ 12th scale-only stupid fast and easier to see.

But outdoors-I would want to run an open mod 235mm car and pretend to be a Masami or Orr at the IFMAR World Championships!!! Yahhoooo!!! Can you say 60 mph on six cells!!

everybody just run what is the easiest and most fun for you! Small track? run 200mm with 4 cells.
Medium track? Run either 6 cell stock or 4 cell 19 turn and 200 or 235 or a mix.
Big track? Go wide and mod! You like narrow more? Run narrow!

The point is: get out there and run them cars! If this class becomes run again, we can sort out rules on the fly, not before!
Have fun! Make friends! Race fast and cheap!
Run Pro 10!!!!! Stop bickering!

If anyone has technical issues relating to pro ten, you might want to turn to this thread: http://www.rctech.net/forum/showthre...699#post727699
