Lap Counter for Pocket PC

Can anyone suggest a good lap counter application for the Pocket PC?

Currently using an Ipaq and looking for something that can save lap times for later transfer to a PC or export to Excel.

Thanks in advance.

MDawson,

copy n paste the link into altavista's translation service and follow the link in it for Lap Eye. I downloaded 3 another softwares but haven't tested them yet :D

How much would something like this be worth to you all? I've been thinking of putting together something like this for the PPC. I've also been thinking of trying to import race results from the major lap software so you could track your laptimes.

Can someone tell me what this LapPalm does? I am assuming from conversation here it is a palm application? Can someone email it to me, or give me a more direct download link? I couldn't figure out that other page.

PocketPC Timer

a good timer app for the PocketPC is StopTime.

http://home.comcast.net/~jonsachs/

It does lap times (use the directional pad to start and stop the timer). Basically it is a very fancy stopwatch but does allow you to cut and paste lap time text. If you enter in track length can tell you miles/hour, etc some other fancy stuff.

and even better - IT'S FREEWARE!

Blake, I think that is a great Idea, and with the cost of PPC's plummeting, would be worth buying one just to run the software.

If you could import your times, then add things like temp and track conditions, gears, tires... be able to chart your times and such... I would pay for that.

Now all we need is some kinda Bluetooth transponder, and we can use it as a Personal Lap counting system.....

Tim,

Those are some good ideas, but bluetooth won't cut it - only 30m range and I think it would take too much time to "discover" the bluetooth device as it comes in range. But there are some standard RF type devices in the unlicensed 433mhz range that should work with an infrared. It's something I've been meaning to get around to playing with just haven't had the time.

Basicially have a look at RC Tools (I think it is called) a collection of utilities such as lap timer, gear ratios, track and setup stuff, etc. It is for a PC but would be even better on a PDA/PPC cause it is so much easier to have one of those at the track than a laptop.
