The question would be is if it was truly an off the shelf unit and software.

Seems like you could ask that question about every "Team" esc used in the race.

And, of course, that debate is already taking place......

Yes but other teams will give you the beta software to try, the novak and LRPs do not have this option.

i beleive that in order to get superior speed you need to work out what motor and speedy crossed with the right settings and gearing will give you the best balance!! its just that the duo seems to be easier to make it happen!! And this makes everyone happy!! but to me the novak isn't far behind although i think the novak is slightly more revy and the duo more torquey! so it handles gearing better without going soft!!

Hopefully the ballistic... I have just bought one !

The UK is such a rip-off - £90GBP for something that Novak themselves are selling for $89US on their own website

89 pounds not too bad actually ...
we got two from states after postage+customs charge we saved £5 a motor ovet uk price but 10-12 days of delivery time+trip to parcelfart was free LOL
so don't feel bad about it....
Motor quality really higher than duos and handles Heath nicely but duo based motors faster

If I had more time I would have arranged for my sister to source one in New Zealand and ship it over as a gift

AND... we're the only country left in Europe still in recession
