Default TC4 top speed setup

Hello all. I am trying to get my TC4 to top speed, I want to hit around 90 MPH. I have a Mamba Max 7700 with a 2S lipo in it. I geared it up to 35 pinion and 60 spur. I did a couple of passes and my top speed is 50 MPH via GPS. Now I did some calculations on gearchart.com and it says my top speed should be 98.92. Now I know that i wont get near 98 with this setup due to aerodynamics. But shouldnt I be hitting at least 70 or 80 with this setup? Do I need to gear higher? is my motor not putting out the RPMs it should be? Im a little confused....

What battery are you running? I have a tc3 with mm 5700 geared 28/72 and have ran 45mph on 2s with it. I'm using 2s Turnigy 5000 20c lipo. Might be that you are geared too high or your battery isn't strong enough. Don't think you will hit 90 mph on 2s. here is a good thread talking about going fast..

Im running Epic, 5000mah 2s 40C. I guess i could be geared too high. Didnt think about that. Im not sure if the 7700 has the tourque to wind all the way out with that high of gearing.

I'm not sure either I'm also working with going fast and have alot to learn. I've seen some talk about having crazy high gearing and it working fine. just play with the gearing and see what you can get, just keep an eye on temps.
