hey,

we've got 10,000 members here on rctech. let's pool our money, and order some foam! haha.

really though, i want to know more about this material. why is it only produced in two facilties in the world? and why would they not sell it in lesser quantities? what is the premier use of this product? i would doubt that the r/c industry is the top user of this. that comment is unfounded, but based out of skepticism, i believe that there is/are other user(s) of it.

how much r&d has gone into finding another, more plentiful, material or another supplier? can natural foam rubber be extruded in tubular form in the dimensions we require? instead of sheets?

why do we bend over so easily?

i'm still ragin' about the $.

one of the sites sponsors...

www.kthobbies.com

or pay the few bucks more at your local track. sure it's a little more expensive but atleast that money goes to keep the track open.

Nexus, a few bucks more?

Have you caught the drift of this thread?

I won't let my LHS make 10-12 Dollars on one pair of tires, period!

I'm all for supporting LHS, but if they get greedy than it's off to mailorder.

Hobby shops buy tires for less than $10 a pair, so if the sell them for more than $14-15 it is rape, period.

Default tire prices

just my 2 cents but supporting my lhs is worth 1 or 2 bucks a pair. the information that i get from them about this hobby is worth much more than that and even during the nitro asphalt season when i go through a set a week, 4 bucks a week doesn't seem like alot.

stefan...guess it depends on where you buy.

my point was that sure you can always buy online or other places....but if tracks keep losing or not making any money we'll have less and less tracks to even race at.

i think kthobbies has some of the best prices and excellent service.
