Default It happened again...but worse this time....IIC Trailer broken into.

I heard this morning that the IIC trailer got broken into at the hotel in Vegas after it was loaded up and ready to make its trip back home to WI. Seems everything was taken from the trailer except the boards for the track. All computers, PA system and race stuff....Even Paul Lemieux's RC Equipment that they were taking home for him.

I wanted to post this so that people can get the word out and start keeping an eye on the boards and such for stuff to pop up for sale. I hope that its not an RC racer that has done this to Scotty and the IIC Crew......but who knows with people now a days.

This town sucks...

It could have been anybody. But when it comes to these types of things, it's usually someone you know...

Good luck.

Thats to uncanny that this has happen 2 years in a row.
its some one that raced there . That trailer was unmarked
on the outside. Also what type of security does this hotel
even have ? Sorry Scotty, no director or outfit deserves
this. I feel for his insurance on this event next year.

That really sucks. Yep, most likely an inside job. The person(s) were probably watching as the truck was being loaded and when it was all clear. Hopefully it's a sign of the times and was done for monetary gain to make ends meet.

Any chance the hotel had any cameras in the parking lot or where ever it was parked?

Are you crazy? It is never acceptable to steal from somebody no matter what the circumstances are.

That's really F'd up. They are going to have to load it up in a covert mission next, drive to an underground tunnel and switch it out for a ringer.

Wow!! As bad as it was down at the South Point for location for most, maybe we should go back down there to stay off the strip. Two years in a row for the trailer to be stolen or broken into is too much to have to deal with. I can't beleive the Riviera is that piss poor with security that you can't even leave a trailer in their lot with out anyone messing with it.

Default Sorry to hear...

This news really sucks. I noticed rc50.com has quite a few behind the scenes pictures of some of the gear. Should be able to get those pics out to all the pawn shops, Craigs list etc...

Good luck guys....

There is no reason to steal for survival. This had to be malicious with the intent of making what the thieves thought was big score. I'm guessing someone who knew what was in the trailer. Its sad. Its a shame you almost have to pack and leave covertly just to make an event like this happen.

I agree with you, but sometimes people are desperate to make ends meet and stealing is their only alternative. However, in this case it doesn't seem to be the case. Hopefully insurance will cover it.

You mean getting a job isn't an alternative? Are you being serious?

Sorry to see something like this happen. If it was a racer I will be even more disappointed as I'm sure such things discourage people from wanting to put events like this on.
