I replaced that circuit specialty station with a goot 95, you should look into those irons as well.

I see that, and it looks like a very good price. Have you done any looking around for best prices on the Hakko 936 Station?

The goot iron isn't a "station" style. It is however the best irion i've ever used. It goes from standard hot to cherry red in 10 seconds when you press the button. Do a search, you'll see that people really like them.

Yeah, that looks good. I'm not sure, but I might get that (even though it is double the price).

If you can get a HAKKO 936 for $69.95, pony up the other $30 and go for it. There is a small possiblity that the other Iron is decent, but if it's not you're out $40 and still have to buy a Hakko, so your total cost for the Hakko now becomes 39.95 for the cheap iron plus the 69.95 for the good iron, so you're $110 down rather than just the initial $70.

The three things I always advise people in the hobby not to "go cheap" on are Radios, chargers and soldering irons. These are the items that you're more likely have for a longer period of time than a motor, battery or car kit.
