It was a great weekend with some great race action!!!

I was able to qualify in 2nd place on the grid for the finals. Knowing that the number 1 is hard to beat but not unbeatable.
The weather was superb throughout the weekend and on sunday during the finals even a bit too warm.

In the first final I had some oportunity's to attack Reinder's car in the first spot but I didn't because some overtaking insecurity between my own ears. Kept my second spot for the first final.

In the second final I went for the kill and overtook Reinder after a minute of racing. But pretty soon he came back on my tail and I made a small mistake. He took back hist spot and won the second final. At that point he had already won the race. Because my mistake I ended up third and therefore it was a tie with Mathijs Hermens who was third in the first final.

The third and last final I decided to race in second spot safe and I ended second overall...

The link that Roy posted shows a lot of the great weekend!!!

Thanx!

This was once again the proof why people living within reasonable distance of the track and drive Pro10 should definately attend this Benelux+ race every year!!!

This was the 6th edition... On to the 7th next year!!

Well done Joost. And you also had the best looking car on the podium!

Can you provide some details of your car for this event?

Thanx! I always try to use my race colors in the finals...

I used my P235-SE car which I built in 2013. Sure there are pictures of the car somewhere around here.

Further I used the following stuff on and in the car:

- BSR tires (blue #35 rear & double purple #40 front)
- Team Saxo body
- Team Orion low profile servo
- Team Orion R10.1 Pro ESC
- Team Orion Carbon Pro Ultra 7400 lipo (two 1S cells in series)
- Team Orion VST2X 10.5 motor
- Futaba S-FHSS radio
- Spider Grip RED tire additive

Default Front End Suspension

I am using the associated dynamic strut front end on my car . It currently has the staggered from axles. Should I change over to the inline axles or just run the car this way. How are other racers running front axles ?

I am using the hyperdrive inline axles.
They are the bomb.
Use them for 3 years now and never had any bent or broken.

Offcoarse, same here (since Roy and I are team mates). I only run the inline axles and only the Hyperdrive's.
The cars becomes better instantly!!! Easier to drive into, and out of corners... Very stable also overall...

They also give you more steering.

personal I would use the 3/16" axles you will never bend or brake

Except for the 3/16" bearings. They are way more fragile than the 1/8". Especially in high speed pro10.

Yes. Great info. I haven't tried the inline axles. They are the next thing on the list.

People are maybe preserved to use them because the ONLY thing you will find in setup tip sheets is that is gives, as they say, "a ton of steering".
While it actually adds a little steering BUT... It makes the car way more stable, easier to drive and handle...

Even the guys in Pro10 modified have switched to inlines because... Well simply because it WORKS!!!

It will give you a more presize and direct feel of the car and you can actually predict what the car will do and plant it much, much better...
