The RJ Speed 3.2 Sport is working well at our track ( Walt's Hobbies in Syracuse, NY) with 7-8 cars last Tuesday.

They take a beating just like the Legends do. With the 6 cell, they're pretty quick.
One problem with them is rear body mounts break. They run a short body mount next to the regular one and zip tie them together with a plastic nut between them.

I plan on getting one for the fall series as the spring series is finishing soon and the summer is pretty slow - racing every other Monday.

We had 16 Legends in 4 heats last Tuesday as well.
I have to stock up on bumpers as I'm on my 3rd one since Feb.

My buddy picked up some "R/C Spec Racing" kits which appear to be clones of the Legends with some improvements. Thicker bodies, bearings instead of bushings, different axle, and I believe turnbuckles instead of wires (not sure on this). The bumpers are stiffer and bent at 90*.

I also picked up a Bolink All Star Sprint car.
It is built on a Legends style chassis but 3/4"-1" longer wheelbase. Otherwise identical other than body mounts. Bodies & wings are available from Windtunnel.

Anyone have info on the Nitro powered Legends?
Worth looking for one or not?

Dan

Funny you should mention the Nitro Legends.I know where the is a brand new one never run but its built. If your intrested I can send you a photo. It's been sitting on the shelf .
Also there were two Legends companies- someone bought the name Bolink and moved it to Iowa. But the inventer of the car is RJ Speed and he's still in Georgia. The three piece front end was never released under Bolink but he had them before Bolink went under.
As for the 3.2 cars- Have you tried to run them in WGT?They are 200mm cars.

I did some testing for bolink way back in the day and the 3 piece front end was one of the items that we were testing on the narrow LTO (Oval) cars. Ended up racing on the one piece most of the time beause it was something new at the time. Crazy...
