From a stand point that there was almost equal racers in touring and oval why is there no info anywhere on oval. From reading this thread this was one of the largest touring race of the year. That is a total insult to all of the great racers that spent there money to race in the oval class. R/C racing is all about the BRAGGING RIGHTS but apairently nobody cares about OVAL

Please refer to the many strings in this forum...Do you see much about oval racing?
Maybe you should start a new one and see if it will carry on with other interested oval-oriented people...If it doesn't; then, maybe you need to find another racing forum that follows YOUR interest.
Futureal can't be expected to cover everything that went on at such a massive event. As far as I can see, he GAVE it his ALL for probably 90+% of the people that read this string.
Check out www.rcracing.com for our oval racing in NoCal. I believe there should be a couple strings there.

FOX: Are you kidding me? I worked my butt off to provide the same caliber coverage for both touring AND oval. What is it that you find lacking? Every round of results was posted, as were the finals, as were pictures. What more do you want??
I freely admit that I don't personally know as much about oval racing as I do about touring, so it was more difficult for me to say "this was fast" or "that was fast" from an expert standpoint. But as far as coverage, I don't think I could have done much better.
I would LOVE for this forum to have a devoted oval following, but it takes people to start that. I can't force people to talk about something.

fox dude futureal did an exellant job he is an onrad racer and doesnt have to ffer coverage of oval or even onroad this is something he does as a hobby and doesnt owe me, you or anybody anything as in coverage of anything, he did the best he could and not knowing the details of oval he did a good job maybe you should attend next year and take care of reporting the oval stuff for him. oah you have to race also! and if you have time maybe you can get an hour or two of sleep per night, fox the racing was 24 o 7 when oval was on the road course guys were sleeping and when the road racers were racing the oval guys were sleeping and when you werent slpeeping or racing you pretty much were working on your car if you were running two or more classes you were pretty much strapped for time much less to write stuff or upload pics for the people not attending!

The Snowbirds is nuts, just plain and simple it should be called the Sleep Deprivation 500. Shane did an awesome job of covering the races to the best of his ability. He was running two classes taking pics and trying to report everything. I was going to help him but had no time, I was either wrenching, racing, sleeping or just plain going nuts after no sleep.
