I'll see what I can answer here; it's pretty much on-road day today, so I've been working on my car and trying to get at least a small bit of racing done. Haven't been online much.
Randman: The ones I have so far are in the R/C Tech coverage section. regarding Toso: The last time I saw him run, he was running the CGM. The most recent pics we have of his car on here were from the Novak race 3 weeks ago, before the CGM had shipped. Most of the Yokomo guys were building CGMs on the first day and I have seen a few sell in the shop. If I can find him I'll ask him what he thinks about it. regarding Josh: I just watched him, Ron Atomic and David Joor working on their CEFX 12 cars. They are really something else. I will have pics of these (production version, more or less) up soon. Since today is on-road, Josh hasn't finished up his oval cars just yet. Gary: Not sure... rowle1jt: Jim has the Pitbull X3 with him. The design is finalized and they are in production. I think he's going to send a unit to me to review, I'll ask him about the timeframe if I see him around the track. f1larry: I haven't seen any Tamiya factory guys here. Suangka is here but he's running oval only. I'll keep on the lookout. Anyway, that's all I can see there for now. I will have full results from the club race up as soon as it is over. Like, 5 minutes later. :) |

btw Shane, what are you using for a camera? that was a pretty good pic of the oval car for what must be minimal lighting.

I managed to run 18th out of 70 in stock for the club race so far, would have done about a lap better if I wasn't having car problems. I just thrashed for about an hour and we have practice until noon tomorrow, so we'll see how much better I can do. I usually end up doing horribly at these big races 'cause I never touch my car and I'm sleep deprived. :)
Racin Rev: It's a Canon Digital Rebel with a 550EX flash and a Tokina 28-70mm macro lens (very old lens). I am still learning it but getting better. Yea those oval shots were pretty good, especially the 6 cell factory mod ones; those things are hauling out there. I have never considered myself an oval guy after watching club races, but man, that looks pretty fun out there. STLNLST: I'll track him down. I've seen him around and have been meaning to say hi anyway. We're on heat 5 of 20 in round 2 of the club race. I think it will be about 4 AM EST before things are all said and done. |

burbs: Yes, I will have full results for both on-road and oval throughout the weekend. The oval club race is Thursday night at 8 PM. The first official qualifying is at 6 AM on Friday morning.
Flack's slow time in the second club race heat was due to a crash in the infield, where he waited for the field to go by him instead of jump right back in and possibly wreck someone. |
