Default tamiya tb evolution brushless

i have a tamiya tb evolution (the first evolution based on the tb-01) i just got a castle creations sidewinder esc with a 5700kv motor for it and installed it in the car. I noticed however that i can't adjust the motor all the way over in the mounting bracket to put a smaller pinion gear on(the motor hits the chassis) is there a fix for this? thanks

I don't have a tb evolution but if you can fit a bigger spur gear maybe it can mesh with the pinion.
