Default GM SX12 Speed Info

Any feedback on the GM SX12 speed control would be appreciated. I have got the low-down on the LRP, Novak, KO and Keyence products, but would like some input on the GM stuff. I am looking for customer support feedback (where and how long for repair), and any other dealings you have had. (no flames but any warnings would be appreciated).

Thanks!

i haven't used them myself but they're supposed to be pretty good performance wise, not sure about customer service but you can buy cases and stickers and wires etc seperately without too much trouble... only bad thing is the instructions/setup processes are pretty poor from what i've heard

I second that, last night i was asked to set up one for a racer and the instructinons were useless(bad translation)! I did manage to get it set would not want to change any settings as just seting it to the controler was difacult .

I am running one in my 12th scale and have ran it in my sedan.....it is a very good speed control and I would buy another one over my Quantum any day. Seems really punchy and faster overall...... The resistance rating is the lowest I've ever seen as well....... .00025, as well as no motor limit.

Service is very good too, my sx9 went bad ant they replaced it with the sx12 for free........Horizon Hobbies is the importer for GM, so its pretty easy to get it serviced.

I personally have ran GM speedos for 4 years now..And now since horizon hobby is the importer or USA service center, customer support is great..A friend of mine sent his V12 in for a switch problem and they sent him a new speedo..I wouldnt be afraid of the GM stuff now that horizon is involed..
