Default Honda EU2000i Generator

moderator.. might be the wrong place to post this... so please move accordingly.

guys i need help. can you please post links or phone numbers (for the local stores) where I can buy a Honda EU2000i generator.

i find myself more and more racing the parking lot scene and i really hate bothering some of the guys and plug in with their generator.

I've called a few stores in Pomona, CA..they're running around $870. im sure it is cheaper somewhere else.

any and all help is appreciated! Thank you!

The price is about right. The Honda generators are expensive, but you pay for the quality and quietness. You can try ebay to see who is selling that generator.

I wish you luck !! Let us all know if you find a deal someplace. Those EU units just aren't cheap !!!! Even Ebay is hard to find a deal. Maybe you could partner up with somebody ?? Here's an option though..... have a 5000 watt Coleman and I went to a local motorcycle shop and asked if they could build a quiet, efficient muffler. They did...it cost me $150 bucks but I'm still WAY under the cost of an EU and it's almost as quiet.

Try Ebay. I found some Yamaha 1000 watt generators for 599 and free shipping so I bet you could fond a Honda their. My Yamaha dealer pays more than that for their 1000 watt generator.

Hebiki, I searched the web a little bit to see if one wasn't cheaper and came across a portable Briggs and Stratton 1000W for roughly $475 at electricgeneratorsdirect.com. They also had a Pramac 1400W for $499 which includes the Honda engine. The EU2000I looks like it's gonna be in the $700-$800 range-retail.

Hebiki,

Expect to pay around $950 out the door for a EU2000. It's one sweet gen and it's the going price. Maybe its just me but I wouldn't go ebay of such a heavy item knowing it's used and doesn't have maintenence records. Buying a new one is the way to go. I very well know how much oil, cycles and status on mine. They are by far the quietiest gens around. Good luck.

Can't beat the Honda or Yamaha equivilant. I used our Honda EU1000I portable generator twice this year for parking lot racing and it was great. I powered 3 guys and the thing never missed a beat. It is so quiet most people asked where my power was coming from. The Yamaha 1000 I want is even quiter than the Honda and even lighter weight.

I also have one of those 1750 Coleman Pulse generators that was given to me for free. It is alot louder and a ton heavier to carry around but does the job. If I was to purchase one it would be the Honda EU1000 like my work has or my Favorite the Yamaha 1000 portable.

Sears have a nice Craftsman Generator. It's a 3000Watt, and it's only 399. It's a pretty good price for a 3000watt

Hebiki- If you show up with a Briggs & Stratton or Craftsman someone may set it on fire- man those things are annoyingly loud! When someone shows up with one of those you might as well use sign language.

Default Honda Gen's

I bought a eu1000 a few years ago for $699 but it's the best thing I spent my money on. Till this day, I still have people wonder why it's so quiet. I think I've had about 5 to 6 people plug in and it was still kickin'. Maj. Teeth is right, I don't think I have seen a eu2000 under $895. I wish you well......

the main reason im gonna get an EU2000i besides the fact that ive heard mice that were louder is that you can run them parallel.

one of my teammates has one already.. if i get one...and we connect them together, they can run in parallel and actually generate more power for all our stuff.

its starting to look like the place that has it for $870 is a good deal.
