bang for the buck its the best way to go
i inherited a brand new with about 20hrs on it only honda 5000 it came with a muffler and its no louder then a sport bike at idle. i was just making suggestions just in case you decided to go the alternate way. i have seen a couple guys with mini bike mufflers and they are pretty quiet!

i worked for honda in the past and the prices you see are probably not going to get much better. most dealers do not mark them up at all...maybe $50 bucks.

the EU series is sweet and runs nice and quiet.

Default 1000s

For those of you who have the 1000s (either Honda or Yamaha), can you have 2 chargers going at 6A each at the same time? Thanks.

I have the Honda EU1000I and can easily run two chargers or more at 6 amps. My son and I both get our power from the generator that is also providing power for the soldering iron. On occassion I have even had two other people hook in and power their chargers and irons with no problems.

Honda is absolutely the best. I wish our track would mandate them.... really tired of hearing all of those B&S generators running.

Default Honda EU2000i Generator

Hebiki;

If you can find a new Honda EU20001 for less than $1,000 total (Taxes and shipping), then it's a good deal.

Look around online as many stores offer free shipping and NO Tax on out of State purchases from time to time.

Also the Parallel cables are NOT cheap and are needed to hook 2 Generators together.
