Thanks guys.
I picked up mine from Ampdraw. From what I can see on their website, they are in stock and ship immediately.

You still use a rollover antenna? I have stopped using them and am racing much better because of it! makes you much smoother.

I am putting my new XL together and the shock is sweet. I can't wait to get this thing to the track.

The local racers said I should use one, but I'd like to get away from it. I haven't had an exposed antenna since going to 2.4 two years ago. I would think I'd have a lower CG if I'm not sticking a piece of fiberglass 10" in the air. I'm new to 1/12 though, so any advice seems reasonable. The guys seem to think that it helps if the car should turn on its side. Ease of marshaling I guess...

+1 the shock is sweet. What spring will you be using? I have one in, but only to hold the car up.

I just assembled my genx to XL upgrade, shock, and front end brace last night. The genx was pretty much dialed on our track with the red shock spring and original shock. The stock setup on the CRC website states he was using the gold spring with the new shock, so I threw that one on. Will see tomorrow how it works out!

BTW, anyone know how to rate the center spring set (soft to firm)? I bought my car used with all the springs, but have no idea how they're rated.

I know ampdraw has them, but I want to give my business to my LHS even though they are not a carpet track. Just trying to do what I can to support the place given the rough economic times.

I have been to a couple races where guys don't run the rollover, and the cars always seem to flip and slide forever. Usually this sliding is to an area where they are instantly punted

Good point. I order a lot through my LHS also, but my shop doesn't stock CRC parts, so I'm on my own when it comes to my Gen X 10 and Gen XL. I'm trying real hard to get some more guys to buy into the brand so we can get a reason for parts stocking. Overhead for one guy would be insanely expensive. I'll keep lobbying though!

I picked up a full set of the Wind Tunnel Side springs for the smaller shocks. These fit perfectly. Looks I should go from Red to Purple or Black.

The shock is absolutely dialed! The Molded Center pivot, with the links, just went together perfectly. To top it off the hard anodized link balls are just butter. The CRC crew really made some great improvements and is now offering some super trick stuff. The car is already a proven winner. The car will definitely not disappoint you on the race track.
