My son and I got to run our xl's this past wed. I was really impressed on how it handled even though it wasnt set up completely, I did notice that my battery wasnt sitting completely flat,The pack is a lil wider than the space with the battery retainers in. Has anyone noticed this hwta is a good fix. do they make the battery stops that are not quit as wide? thanks

I am running a 1s battery and it slides around also. Not so much left to right. I am thinking about putting a spacer on a battery to hug next to the shock/antenna mount.
Try battery strap tape to hold it in place.

I have both the ThunderPower 5000mah and the SMC Max 4900 packs - and neither move around on my chassis

what packs are you running??

I am running the SMC max 4900 and it does move forward away from my forward mounts. There is about 3mm of space from the antenna mount. By the end of the race it has moved up next to the antenna mount.

hmm interesting, i've never really paid that much attention to my SMC Max pack - i've been pretty much running the the Thunderpower exclusively during qualifiers/racing, the SMC pack is for practice (feels a little 'down' on power compared to the Thunderpower )

I am using team scream 5000mah they are 1.866 wide, they have the knobs on the bottom to fit into the battery slots. I have the battery adjusters in the front and it doesnt let the battery sit into the slot like it should,so the battery is up on an angle towards the rear. thanks

A friend of mine has the thunderpower battery and it is a bit more snug. It in fact fits tight due to maybe a thicker battery casing. I hear the TP batter is really good but the SMC has banana plugs and I just can't bring myself to Deans connectors again sorry TP battery.
The battery movement can be a good tool if I can find a way to keep the movement in control. I put double sided tape down but I don't think I put enough to hold it in place.

I use the self adhesive felt you can buy to put on the bottom of chair legs.

Those are some good ideas. I like everything to be ran forward but when the batter is all the way up to the antenna it can be a bit to much when the traction is down.

By the way I just want to say to those who has yet to put the speedo in the center and the Rx on the left side all the way forward. It really makes the car feel on rails. I have never felt a 12th scale so easy to drive but yet very fast corner speed.

I am going to take the battery stops out and just tape the batteries in,I always hate to tape them but this is what all the fast guys do haha. Hey mugen can you post a pic of how your electronics are, thanks

thank you sir. looks good. Why did you put the posts towards the front? Have you balanced the car with scales or anything. I am thinking of moving mine to the center also.

Here is mine, I am thinking of moving it to the center or to the other side to offset the servo being towards the one side.
