To me it looks like the cars are the same except for the new side links and the shock/antenna mount.

So is there much difference performance wise, or am I better of spending my cash on some tires? :P

btw, I love this car already. It's so easy to work on compared to my old t-bar car.
New clamping and longer side links are worth the conversion alone.

The Front Brace comes with some of the hardware you need, but you will also need 4 button head screws and 4 locking nuts. Aside from hardware you have everything you need.

Button head-PN 1470
Locking Nuts-PN 1412

Optional Screw Set:
Anodized Alum. Screw Set-PN 1410

Hope this helps,
CD

Yep, have bent a set or two of those. Now I just run the plastic ones and replace them when they break. it is a weak spot on the front end. Not sure if it is good or bad as if they didnt bend/break something else would.

I've also noticed that the aluminum caster blocks tend to bend quite easily... Considering they were on the car for 5 minutes of track time, they cost me roughly $3/minute.

Never said I had problems with the plastic ones. Just seen a CRC team driver using some nifty newly designed ones. Mount the other way on the car. Looked like it would be neat to try thats all.

In the proccess of putting together my new GEN XL and was wondering how long do you guys make the roll over antenna or is there a ROAR rule for how long it should be? With the DSM rxs short antenna wire it seams like you could leave it pretty short.
Thanks

There isn't a limit. I'm personally not running one.

There seems to be a recent trend to cut the roll over antenna shorter and shorter. I have seen some as short as six inches!! The motivation for this trend is that some feel that the extra height makes the car "top heavy." Now I don't know that I would feel that extra 2 or 3 grams of weight that high up but one thing you do need to be careful of is that if you get it too short, it becomes a kick stand and will not flip your car back on it's wheels. You might as well not even run one if you get the antenna that short.

ROAR 1/12th rule update 8.10.3.9

"The use of a rollover antenna is permitted. Rollover antennas must have a blunt end/cap. Maximum height from ground is 35 cm." So, anything under 35 cm is ROAR legal.
