With the white side springs I'd run 5,000 in the tubes or lighter to get the car to transfer weight on a small track. I'd also run .45mm front springs with 3/4* camber. What tires did you run?

Hi all-- I just replaced my rear upper pod plate(after breaking the stocker)with the 4mm one.Should I raise the front shock mount to compensate for the thicker plate?

That is a good pod plate. I replaced mine as well (broke). It never occurred to me to shim up but it makes sense.

Sig,
I did go to the .45 front springs. I am also running 2k tube oil with the red side springs. Red center spring as well. The tires I am running at this time are Parma lilac and yellow. I am going to change to parma pink all the way around for club racing (less ware).

The pink rears and magents fronts would be a good combo. How much droop do you have in the rear and how much chassis rake do you run. I've had good luck with the stock gold spring, I usually don't change that much. You may also consider raising the front shock mount an additional 1/8" beyond the additional amount you have to compensate for the thicker top plate.

The rear droop is 1 mm. As for the rack I don't know what that is. I run the chassis and rear pod flat. I will look into the magenta tires.

I check the front of the chassis clearance, approx. 3.5mm, then again at the back of the chassis (not pod) and set that to 4.0mm clearance. So I'm at .5mm chassis rake. Dumps some weight forward for better stearing.
You could also go less rear droop for more responsive stearing.

A stiffer side spring reduces side roll. As the car rolls threw the corner the chassis tends to rotate to the outside. The stiffer springs keeps the chassis from rolling over.
Keep in mind you want some roll. Roll helps you to maximize traction and tire to surface. This is just the basics of chassis roll. Someone might be able to go into much more detail.

Side Spring:
Softer More side bite for rear end but will be lazier transitioning back & center.
Stiffer Less side bite. Faster transition but may feel edgy.

The green spring with 5k tube oil worked pretty good (for short tracks). I did not get a chance to see if it has faster lap times yet but will see next race day. Right now I am running Parma pinks all around. The wear is much better then the lilac and yellow. For club racing pinks seem to be the way to go for now.

Hey guys. Wondering if crc makes front ride height spacers that are 2.5 or 2. I see the car comes with 3,4,5. Looking to start the tires at 41mm and if I do it will only give me 1 run per set. Any help would be great. Thanks!

I was pitting opposite Elliott Harper last weekend at the Tamworth round of the UK 12th nationals. He was having his first time out with the Gen-XL. He finished 3rd in stock (10.5) and 4th in open modified which he was pretty happy with considering the car hadn't turned a wheel before Saturday morning and he was a little short of some things. Also pretty good with an unknown car considering the opposition included Andy Moore, Andy Griffiths and Olly Jeffries.

He was getting a handle on the car pretty quickly and ended up using a setup very similar to but not quite the same (as he told me) to Hupos at the IIC. Grip from the carpet is usually a little lower in the UK compared to the USA, hence the differences. He ended up saying it was the best 12th car he'd ever driven!

The only option parts I could see that he was using were the carbon front brace, long arms, pin brace and metal left pod side.
