Default LRP VTEC30X

I have tried some VTEC30X but I found that not all the tires hath the same grip.
After a wile they hath ever a lower grip than the old VTEC30. The only good thing was that they run 3 to 4 races longer before they rip open.
After cutting the tires open I found out what the problem was with the grip.
The insert was turn't around.
That was by one tire and that one hath a lower grip than the others.

The old tires keep longer there grip but the new tires keep longer alive will I don't like them.
Lower grip and the wheels are harder than the old one.

Has any one els hath the same grip problems and turn't around inserts?

Are you mispelling 'had' or is it just your style to spell it 'hath'...

If it was your style it sure works cause I see posts everywhere in rctech and know its you...

My English is not so good so sorry for that.
My spelling control doesn't say it's wrong so that's the reason I spell it like that.

Am I right in thinking these were the tires used at this years TC Euros?

If so, seems an awful lot of drivers ended up getting a 'dodgy' set (or in many cases, more than one!), so clearly weren't impressed.

You are right about that.
They are the tires they used at the euro's tc.
Those tires have there maiden mishaps.
I tried a set and had the same problem as Mikky.
Less grip then the "old"30R from LRP and the inserts are in some tires the wrong way in there.
It's a shame that a firm like LRP has these problems.
At this moment i will stick to the LRP Vtec 30R as they are very constant with their grip and wear.
Got me a complete race day and some practice runs on them and they still arn't worn out.
So for me it's the 30R and the Sorex tires.

cheers Roy

Yes they where on the Euro's. I think LRP had to make more progress on prepairing the tires and made some more mistakes then normal by this opperation. That's why in my opinion there are more bad tyres.

I tried the Vtec 30X's also and I'm not sure when there good. The wear of the tires is much "better" then the old Vtec 30's, but the grip is strange, and you can seen true the rimm that they are glued badly.

I don't know what to think about the new Vtec 30X's yet...

Best Regards

Robert

The grip is in the beginning high but after just a couple of runs it's lower than the old VTECS.
No VTECS for me any more.
I never loved them.

We must use now VTEC30 tires by our club races but there is only 1 race to go.
This Sunday I use CS27 or Sorex32.

On our track the VTECS only live for 7 runs and than there are holes in it.

Maybe a silly idea but use the Vtec on the rear and Sorex 28 at the front.
I did and that combo lasted for about 2 races and some practice runs.
At the end you only loose a little time but not that much and you don't rip the Sorex up as you do the LRP at the front.

cheers Roy

I will try that.
Than I can run longer on my tires. It's nice for practice.
Saves money.
