Sounds like they at least have the "South" part locked in... maybe we can convince them to do it in "South"ern California

A decision as to where the 2010 Worlds will be held or be taken at or after the 1/10 Offroad electric worlds being held in South Africa.
The worlds allocation falls to FAMAR which is South America and South Africa.
We have a bid made already to host it and now wait for the process to go full circle.
This is the proposed track/club to host the worlds if SA wins the bid.

The countries making up the FAMAR block give it away. I'd been waiting until after the 1/10th off-road Worlds for confirmation, after hearing South Africa as a possible venue.
I'd also assume it would be at the new track reported on RedRC (see previous link).
Given Electric On-Road worlds is both 1/10th Touring Car and 1/12th Pan Car, there will be the question of running 1/12th on tarmac (again ) or carpet...

I'm guessing you probably already knew this, but may well be of use to others:
I saw in the 2009 IFMAR rule book (downloaded from their website), it now specifies that if the 12th event is not held on carpet, a control tire must be used. Which could make it very interesting!

A very reliable source has told me that they will be held in Iron Mountain Michigan.

The 2010 on road Worlds will now be in the EFRA region.
The location should be decided in the next 4 weeks after the EFRA AGM.
