but i see that there is only 3 places for wires and correct me if im wrong but isnt there two wires for the battery and two wires for the motor?

yes and no...
yes typical 4 wires are needed... but most racer use only 3..
neg to the battery.
neg/blue to the motor
positive is sometimes split into a 'Y'... 1 to the + motor and the other to + battery.

Instead of a 'Y' you can do it like this:

I have been running orange power stuff every since I was a kid. And the only time I blew them up, was when I was first learning how to install a electronic speedo. Since all I used back in the day, in the 80's was rotary one. Now that I am 20 years old, my r/c career has pretty much not quite come full circle and I am now running for Novak. I know a lot of you guys probably think I am being bias or just trying to sell product, but I am not that type of a person. If I believe in something I will promote it, regardless if I run for them or not. I run GT7's in all of my carpet cars, and have had great luck with em all. The LRP quantum's are great aswell, but they dont stay that consistent run to run when they get older. Meaning they tend to loose efficiency. Just my two cents lol
