Default What is the Protoform R9-R?

Probably a dumb question but it's really eating at me...

Is the Protoform R9-R shell supposed to be the Audi R9? Can't be... it's a four door and the R9 is a coupe.

What is it supposed to be?

Kinda looks like a 4 door version of an Audi R8.

Ok, I'll buy that! Just wanted to know what it's "supposed" to be!

It's not a Jaguar. That's why it's called the R9R and not the XFR.

Look at the headlights and grill, Dale Epps himself even said it. He didn't call it that for licensing reasons. If you look through the thread you posted for the body he says it himself in there.

I asked Protoform to be sure, but they look very similar.

I am sure Dale said it was the Jag, but now I can't find where he said it. It me be in the LTC-R thread, but it was kinda a mix of the Jag and the Audi. Personally I think it looks just like the XF though.

I kinda do too now, but I don't know why they wouldn't call it something else. The grill comes down further though, on the body, more like the Audi.

Yeah, I'd say it does look like the jag with a more audi like grill.

Maybe it is the Jag XF. The headlights on the Jag have the larger projector but the ones on the Audi do not. Maybe that's it. Or maybe it's a mutant!

And here is the C-XF concept from 2007. Looks alot like it...
