My local track use sugar water, it works better than soda. I am not sure on the mixture ratio but one key is to use hot water to make all the sugar dissolve.

One word of caution, if you are using mineral spirits and/or alcohol to dilute the vht be carefull both are very flamable!!

Agreed, the Sugar Water mix is much better than Soda or Snow cone syrup. Mix it at NO MORE than 1 lb Sugar to 1 Gallon of water. Too much and it will build up on the Tires and Chassis.

For VHT use Methanol or Denatured Alcohol to delute starting at about a 50/50 mix. The VHT will damage sprayers if not flushed clean after each use (trust me).

Wanted to ask if any new ideas since this old thread? We want to increase traction on some places, heard that cola is quite good in original form or with sugar, any other ideas?
