Default receiver pack

Guys,

When hooking up a seperate receiver pack, can I just plug in the ESC.

Or should I cut one of the esc wires?
I do not want anything shorting out.
Will there be no problem with the BEC supply?

Thanks,
Pizza

You should remove the red wire from the ESC plug, because the ESC takes it's own power from the batteries, while the receiver is powered by the 5-cell pack.
