The car is also available from rcmart in HK, usually around the 100 dollar price tag.
It is right now at 90 dollar.

Gecko F1 Dounuts

Just spoken to Keith at Kamtec and if there's a demand for F1 dounuts he will try and supply them.

So if you want Gecko F1 dounuts to continue to be available email Keith at Kamtec so he can show Gekco there is still a demand for them. No phone calls as he can't forward those as proof of demand.

there for a f104 that's why they are narrow in width 35mm, a f109 is 45mm width on the rear

Hey folks, just wondering if anyone knows a place to get a full bearing kit for the F109... would an F104 bearing kit work? F104 bearing kits seem to be plentiful, but can't for the life of me find any for F109.

Cheers

Our club uses geckos on the f1's as we found them the best. I hope they keep being sold

email I had back from Adams Racing is that they are discontinued and non in stock at the factory. There's a slim change they may return via Kamtec.

If you want to see them again best bet is get your club members to email Kamtec so they can show Adams Racing that there is a demand for the F1 dounuts.

You'll need an F103 set unlesss you plan on running F104 fronts. F103 and 109 are 5x8mm front bearings. F104 is 5x10mm IIRC.

Hmm... awesome... thank you !!... One last question... will the F103 thrust bearing ( http://cgi.ebay.com/SP1346-Tamiya-F1...-/370421918018 ) fit right into the 109?

Yes, it is a direct fit, but i would recommend getting the tamiya 104 diff, or the 3Racing out tuned diff. Makes life a whole lot easier

Just to be sure... the out tuned diff, just like the F104 diff, requires me to cut the drive shaft a little right? or can the out tuned diff slide straight onto the existing f109 shaft? I should get a new shaft for the 109, so if i got a 104 shaft and the out tuned diff (cos its cheaper than the tamiya diff) that will fit nicely wont it?

Im pretty broke right now so it'll be on my to do list in a few months time I do like the feel of the 109... but the undoing screws for battery changes, and the removing diff for a tyre change is the sole reason i race my f104... the 104 i find is jsut more convenient... anyway, they are both excellent cars i think... not much between them...
