You cant go wrong with an Xray. The T2R Pro is an awesome car for the cost, and is still competitive.

Does the T2R come withe the Lipo conversion kit? I know the 009 does, but are the T2R owners left out having to drop $35 to get one?

The kit comes with the extra pieces to raise top plate for running taller 5000 lipos but, the smaller lipos fit right under no problem.

I'm running one indoors on surfaced concrete and its great.
Using it for 17.5 now (prev. 21.5) and mixing it with 09s and 416s etc easily.
The f/g chassis gives you some extra flex, which I like.
I have upgraded to proper turnbuckles and cheap aftermarket servo posts ,plus a motor guard(which isn't standard in any kit).

Personally I dislike the orange of the top spec model too and didn't want to pay more.

How is the surfaced concrete on tires? The local shop is talking about concrete (don't know which kind) instead of asphalt to save money. How's it work out for you?
