Are you running the 414? Here in Japan, two most popular Tamiya bodies are the NSX and Modena360. For the TA04 based chassis, the choice seems to be the Modena. For the EVOs, it's NSX. Surikarn was running NSX body in the Tamiya World with his EVOIII. I heard the MRS is also good for technical circuit.
Tire choice - at this time of the year, it's Type A (depends on where you race, too).

Yeah, I'm running a 414MII. Is there a chart or something with all the different tire compounds and reccomended surfaces, temps etc... I'm having difficulty finding some of this kind of info on these cars. I'm sure it's out there, I just don't know where to look.

Okay, this is stuff I came across by what my brohter has told me. For tires get the type-b, but the problem is their near impossible to find. As for bodies the NSX is good, the Modena is very aggressive, and the new Skyline should be neutral like the old one, but who knows. Other than that, those are the bodies you should stick with.

Sipa!Thanks for the 20 weight oil bro....Saved my life for sure!Car was railed after I switched the back oil out.But I gotta give props to all the amain guys{except the hack in the red mini with the Billy ray cyrus mullet} in mini.Jaime made that race very tough for me but really rewarding!Everyone made our race very exciting and probably one of the closest and best races all day!That was truely anyones race.

I would have entered your Mini Body Hebiki but since you were not there I would have felt bad for doing so.Anyways,your body was the winner of the Mini A main though! Totally helped being it was so bright yellow and we raced our main almost in the dark.We'll see most of you guys at your regional!

1. Maybe. The 04R can definitely keep up. In back to back comparisons, My Ta04R is usually .1 - .2 sec slower per lap (at the Tamiya USA track) compared to my 414M2. At the more competitive levels, this can be significant.
2. No clue. Most of the fast guys use the 24mm tires. I've never tried the 26 mm tires.
3. The rollout for the RR depends on the track. For short techical, I've used a 29.2 mm rollout (6.9 ratio). For large tracks, I use 32.5-34.5 mm rollout.

Question 4: Should I invest in the Nimh 3300 battery? I'm using NiCd 2400 at the moment.

Are the Type-B Slicks that much better? Are these the tires that come stock on the TB-02? The guys 'round here are saying I should've raced on the stock TB-02 tires, but (in my best whiny voice) "They are my show tires."
