Hahaha, I was going to agree with him and say it was probably a reversed negative but I had a feeling it might be a nut retained hub.

Tech master, or whatever it says, is because I tend to comment on many things that I wish I didn't... It means that I 'mastered' posting on rctech...

I knew it was the old hub... I just wanted to raise speculation that you may have some latest state of the art chassis... Nice pretty blue aluminum on that one, though. I have to agree on the Gulf paint, though.

That is a RC12L3 Yokomo car. They probably called it RC12L3Y.

Was there a difference, I've seen it in Japanese magazines listed as a 12L3Y. Just curious, we should get back on topic though.

Thumbs up

The more I looky, the more I likey. Very nice job, and thanks for revisiting the 1/12th class. The Speed 12 is a great lid, but it seems like I've been looking at the same car for ages.

Has it been released yet?

Happyness is a 1/12th scale car that resembles a real race car. Such lids are far more interesting than little cars that are painted with flames and tribal graphics in bright fluorescent colors. No matter how well the new wave style paint jobs are executed (and many are done beautifully), nothing quite excites like a scale race car that is patterned after and looks like a real race car. Now if only we had a convenient source for scale lettering and sponsor logos.........hint, hint.
