I would much rather see simple classes to being back some prestige to winning a class.

If you go to a race and you have 17.5, 13.5, 10.5, mod, VTA, RCGT, and whatever other TC class will be invented next week it doesn't mean anything to win, especially when there's 10 guys a class.

Keep it simple with 2 classes like we had back in the day, as much as I would rather see foam the tires are way to expensive so keep it rubber. and you have 2 TC champions instead of like 7

they could run foam and rubber just one motor instead of 17.5, 13.5, and mod. Its not like someone is forcing you to spend money on foam tires. Just run rubber if you want, but some people would much rather run foam.

Spec motor, spec tires, body from a list. It would be onroad version the Short Course Truck, but not the Slash.

Good point, class limiting would help for TC. I'd keep TA, 17.5 or RCGT (same motor) and 13.5 and up for mod. Put them all on the same rubber for cost control. Then you can have 3 champs and call it a day.

Challenge question: Name one class of international onroad racing where the tires are not controlled or there is only one supplier?

You wouldn't have guys bringing a case of tires to a race weekend. Plus, with the Jaco Blues you can run for months after the race with the same set. Just cheaper for everyone.
maybe thats at YOUR track, our track, NOT TRUE

well after reading all the post and listening to some opinions, my pick would be

stock rubber tc
10.5 foam tc
wgt
mod 1/12

you could throw trans am in there if you want but from what i've seen the guys are not "racing", they're out there having fun.

Looking at what has happend here i would say the following would be viable.

TC 17.5 and Mod Rubber
1/12 17.5 and Mod 1 Cell LiPo
WGT 10.5, 1 Cell LiPo
