Since this is the only SMC thread i found, how do i setup the balancing conector on these batteries since it's only one hole for the the balancing plug on the 4700mah Reinhard editon? I now it's stupid question, but i like the info before i buy something so i can do it correct first time

Edit: can i use this one by the way? http://www.nexusracing.com/product_i...oducts_id=2561 or http://www.nexusracing.com/product_i...oducts_id=2426 just found it

I'm also sorry to hijack, but I've got two of the above packs and plugged one in backwards yesterday (ESC was off) and something shorted inside and now the pack doesn't work. Is it gone or can this be fixed?

I am no battery expert, but i think you might have shorted the circuit board inside the battery? what kind of SMC battery is it?

The Rhenard edition 4700 40C. Yeah I'm sure its something on the PCB, it has that telltale burnt electronics smell. I'm just wondering if its repairable and if so where can I get it repaired

it might be the banana plug has been desoldered or sort... just open the case n resolder them... the PCB has no other things except some solder n plugs... easy fix... heat the case with a hair dryer n pull the case apart slowly...

Yes, you can't think it like the battery "gives" the amount of amps. It's the motor "taking" what it needs. You will be fine. Your motor won't touch the amount of amps this battery can provide
