Default Ballistic 540 Vented Endbells

Has anyone tried the new vented endbells for Novak's Ballistic 540 motors?

I was interested in trying them, but wondered if people saw a measurable difference in motor temps and/or cool down time. Also, I was a little worried about dirt n debris getting into the motor. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

edit-looks like my first post was a fail post as it's in the electric on-road. I am racing off-road, so anyone who comes across this and can give a reply from an off-road perspective . . . many thanks

Hopefully someone will look at this and be able to give me an answer.

Will the s5945 sensor board (ballisitc crawler timing sensor) work in a regular ballistic motor? I need a new S5942 but can only find S5945 timing sensor. If I use the S5945 will it effect the way the motor works?
If anyone has an old beat Ballistic motor that has a good timing board they want to part with let me know.

Thank You,

All the sensor boards should be the same. Also the Ballistic and the Vulcan share the same timing sensor.
