Which 17.5T Brushless??? So many in the market.
#1

Guys/gals, as I consider getting a new 17.5T brushless motor I realized that there are way too many choices to pick from. How come we don't get to see straight comparisons of brushless motor on a side by side basis? What do you guys would recommend to be the best one or two motors out there for 17.5T brushless.
So far I see the following in the market:
Trinity Pulse 17.5T
Team Epic Duo 2 17.5T
Tekin Redline 17.5T
Speed Passion 17.5R
Orion Vortex 2008 Version 2 17.5T
Novak SS 17.5 Pro
LRP Vector X-11 Stock Spec 17.5T
Losi 17.5T Xcelorin S
Hacker Brushless E40 17.5T
Fantom Ion 2 Pro 17.5T
Like I said, too many to choose from. The application will be 1/10 Touring Car class. Any advise? Can you tell me about your experience with any of these and have you compared them at all? more than one motor comparison? Thanks!

do a 'poll' and see which comes out tops...

around my neck of the woods, the duo's seem to be doing the best. From what I have heard, they take advantage of the timing boost that the spx and latest tekin software offer.

You may want to look into an EA Motorsports 17.5 which is just a tuned Duo 2. They have amazing rip through the infield and unbelievable top end on the strait.

I love my redline 17.5, but i want to try out the Duo. Still need to pick up a hotwire so i can update my RS Pro. Its still stock from the box.

to me you would have to get either a speed passion or a novak or a duo my preference is duo then novak then speed passion duo is now proven to be fast. the novak wont let you down but be careful of the sensor wire as if you damage it you will have to throw out the motor! and the speed passion will run a tad on the hot side so a bit annoying in summer!!

At almost all the tracks I go to the Express Motorsports tuned Duo has shown to be one of the best. The Duo 17.5's seem to have about the most rip I have seen with pretty much any speedo. John Tag at Express retunes them some and they lay it down. Can't go wrong as I ran a few weeks back and borrowed another this weekend and they are sick.
The other one that I'm actually waiting for is the Tekin 17.5 which I have on back order. Heard alot of nice things about these motors as well. I know my 13.5 Tekin rips.

I have only used the Speed Passion 17.5 and it performs great. How do you guys find it? I have also seen the Orion and Tekin ones being very powerful. I want to get the orion??? But would the Trinity duo be the beter choice?
