Default I've asked this before...I think

I have an electric 4TEC and I just acquired a 200mm Mustang body for it and I need to know how to make it look like it fits. Someone said I should use wheels with a bigger backspace but where do I get someting like that. Is there any other spacers available that push the wheels out 5mm per side?

I dont know anything about the 4tec. Is that the Traxxas TC? Anyway, assuming that its a 190mm car then you should be able to run up to a 5mm offset on your rims. A lot of Touring wheels dont have any offset. If they do its usually marked on the packaging and also on the inside of the hex portion of the rim.

To approximate if it will fit double the number of the offset and add it to the width of the car. So a 5mm offset x2 + 190mm is right at 200mm so it should fit.

I must remind you that if your Mustang is the Vintage HPI then it will be 200mm up front and 210 in the back. It is intended for use with the Vintage wheels and tires, which are 31mm wide tires in the back.

Traxxas 4TEC TC... yes. Here's the body. Where can I get offset wheels??

Doesn't look like it's wider in the back than the front.

That looks like a typical touring body to me. I don't believe that has much if any tapering. I'd say go to tower hobbies and check out some 5mm offset wheels for that thing.

HPI makes rims with 0mm, 3mm, and 6mm offset. Like this one:

I went there and looked and they are out of stock. I went to Tower and they have Tamiya 4mm offset wheels for a very good price but I need to know if Tamiya wheels have the 12mm hex drive.

Noboby knows if Tamiya touring car wheels have a 12mm hex or not??? Sure seems to be lot of Tamiya on road cars here and it would seem somebody would look at the inside of the wheel
