Hello,
I have purchased a Tamiya Nissan Fairlady Nismo TT-01E kit. I am planning on racing this against a couple of friends at the track where I race my SC10. This track has an asphalt road track. I am planning on racing against my friends and also drifting.
We are planning on using the kit ESC, motor, and tires to keep things even, since we all have TT-01 cars.
I am going to use a Futaba S9451 servo for the steering. and 2S lipo batteries.

Here are the upgrades that I purchased:

tamiya aluminum motor heat sink
tamiya aluminum motor mount
tamiya type E bearing kit
tamiya aluminum center drive shaft and joints
Hpi soft inner tire liner
Hpi medium/soft inner tire liner
Yeah Racing Alloy 50mm Damper Set with hard, medium, and soft springs
4 Hot Works 24mm rims to mount the PVC drift tires to


Are there any other hop-ups that you would recommend?

What weight oil should I put in the front and rear shocks?

Are there any build tips that I should know or be aware of?

Should I build the diff according to the manual? I saw somewhere that a guy suggested the diff gears be cleaned with a degreaser and then oiled, very lightly, with some sort of light machine oil or WD40. Is this recommended?

Should I clean the bearings and reoil them before installing them in the kit?

I'm running Reedy 3400 lipos, and added 70gms to the right side to get it perfectly balanced side to side. I thought it handled well before, but the balancing made a noticeable difference.
Make sure the suspension is freemoving without shocks attached. If stiff, sand where required.
