Most prefer a diff on carpet. On asphalt you don't have near the traction so a spool can be used easily. Hope this helps you out.
thanks

Todd has anyone tried the new diff spring from the BK2 in the sedan? I was wondering if it would be better in the XXXS since it is supposed to be better than the bevel washers and easier to set or will it even fit in that application.

Thanks!
Jay

The spring doesn't fit in the XXX narrow diffs b/c the dogbone bottoms out, at least for off-road cars. For TC it might fit b/c there's less plunge but dunno for sure, you'd have to get the BK2 diff screw also b/c it's a good deal longer than the stock screw for the longer spring setup.

Hodgimoto - what kind of front shock tower is that? I see both you and MF and running tamiya shocks now, is that front tower needed to run them?

Now gotta think that Losi's next great hop-up for the XXX-S should be shocks.

Or a chassis that better supports the ESC in front of the motor.

Or carbon fiber shock mounts.

Or the 5th body mount post.

Thanks for the peeks Todd.

Todd, I've been looking for the part number on the Tamiya shocks and have not found it, do you have one for us to avoid buying the wrong shocks?
