Todd, are any of you losi guys going to be running the new horizon 1/8 buggy? or do you have any info on the car? i know a few horizon dealers in my area want to push that car. though i think they are only offered as rtr?

Todd,
Could you please explain the difference between the Losi white, brown and assoc. black thrust bearing grease?
When is it better to use one over the other?
Thanks,
Eric

David-Yup!!
Mac-He is on his way back to Pheonix now...I am sure you will see him this weekend.
brians11-Yes it is. Its nice too since I am now running the GM SX12...it is so small and works so good. Amazing performance for such a little ESC.
sapz-Ron Rossetti and Gil Losi Jr have been racing it a little....seems to be working ok. Yea I think it only comes as a RTR...sorry.
Fike-Its all personal preference. I like the new losi brown grease.

Hodigmoto? I was just looking over my old aluminum CVD from my XXXS with the broken pin hole and I had a thought. What if you guys had 2 sets of pin holes in them. Each set opposite of each other. This would alow me and others to double the life span of the CVD. What cha think?

hey todd-
what kind of a setup would you run on your xxx bk2 on a track where taper pins are the stuff to run. just a starting setup would be good.
also, how do you get that foggy look on the xxx wing? fine sandpaper?
oh and from what i hear, that body that alvin is painting for you is gonna be awesome, he said that it is your colors, but he just went crazy. he told me six different shades of green!!
later,
peter

pookyT-Good idea....I will pass it along.
racer oz-You get more traction but less runtime since they are so much heavier.

peter-I would start with the Cavaleri setup from the website. As for the wing...we use Scotch Brite. Yea I can't wait to see that body.

Todd, why are you guys starting with the swaybars? Do you have a more consistent feel over the entire run?
I tried most of Greg's setup and it worked pretty good with the spool. Still need to free up the rear end a touch without having it come around on me. Did you find that updated setup better than Greg's? Would it work equally well in 19T on the hot surface?

Fike: We experimented with the black grease and brown grease during the carpet season. If you need more steering, go with the brown grease in the front. In some cases, we have used both in the same diff end for a bit tighter feel (mostly in the rear when brown in used up front). In general, the black grease seems to work a bit better with 19T and Stock, whereas, brown is great with mod or with 19T on small tight tracks with lots of turns.
Of course, others may have a different opinion.

Thanks for giving some insight... I was looking for an easy answer but as usual... I'll have to build and test to see how it feels to me.
But... what makes it feel to give more steering? I haven't opened any of the brown grease yet, is it thicker?

Fike: Most definitely thicker. Its the same effect as having a tighter front diff. You want to be very conservative with how much you put on each diff-ball when building a diff with it.

RichO: ok... major confusion setting in... I thought this was used on the thrust balls, not in the diff?
I beleive that I am now offically lost
