All I did was get a Serpent 705, TA05 belt, HPI Cyclone middle pulley, Tb02 Motor Mount and a 3 racing battery strap and all the electronics and I had myself a converted serpent 705.:nod:

Does converting a cyclone from single to twin motor count :blush:

how fast did it go and how much did you sell it for?

Nice thought but I dont believe it. I can see where one motor would drive the belts, what would the other motor be powering? There isnt enough space for a second spur gear, additional belts yada yada. Show completed pics if ya got em.:weird:

If I remember correctly, the project wasn't completed before he sold the car (in reference to the dual-motor cyclone).

Based on how on-road TC's are made, it would be impossible to run something like that. Nice try kid, you almost had us.:lol:

Actually IDIOT, it did work..

In order to get the 2nd motor to rotate in the same direction as the original motor, I sent away my spare GTB to be re-programmed to have full power to the motor in the opposite direction (Pm Steve Weiss if you don't believe me) so the motor on the right would rotate in the correct direction.

It's easy to make a double motor cyclone, all you need is another motor mount, it does mount the motor further off the chassis than the left side, but it indeed works.

and my plan when it came to having a spur gear made was to basically have one like a kimborough, thin on the inside but a huge contact area on the teeth so both pinions were meshed on the same spur gear. Or the other idea was to have my friend who designs the bulkheads for the tc5's to basically machine a pinion which would go over both rotor's (would also help greatly when it comes to meshing the bugger lol)

I tested it and both motor rotated at the same time and at the same RPM (wires from the ESC's were splied into one connection at the reciever) and when tested on the road (with only one motor as I hadn't had the spur made at that point) it was quite a bit faster than my schumacher xtr3e....

Who knows what it could have done (although according to some cock on here it would do 0mph as it wasn't real :rolleyes: )

Dude I beleive you, I can see how it would be done :lol: I actualyl commented on someone's cyclone when I was racing once, on how you could fit two motors.

Idiot? Please. You post pics of a partially completed conversion car and when asked question in details about it, get defensive? A pic of the completed car, a mock up drawing, mentioning some of the things you did to complete the car or a cad illustrating what you had on your hands may have kept comments at bay. You know what, I wont hijack the thread arguing with you...it would be nice to see some other conversions out there...COMPLETED conversions.

I dont consider my initial query/post negative at all. I asked for completed pics. Dude opted to speak out the side of his neck and start with the childish name calling. Not a keyboard commando my friend, dude fired over the bow first. His pics showed an incomplete car and I inquired and being a HUMAN BEING with free thought, I questioned what I saw. If it rattled his cage which in turn prompted him to engage with childish name calling, then its apparent who has the problem. My intentions was not to start tossing shots back and forth, but to see a completed car, possibly with a video of the thing running. Dude got sand in his panties and popped off at the mouth. any one know where i can find a twin motor esc that will run 6000kv brushless motors. im building up a one off custom 4wd car that has 4 6000kv motors. im going to use a cyclone chassis to do it with. well im going to stat with it and my end up building a custom fiberglass chassis, then use its as a temp and get a pic of alum and transfer over.
thinking about taking it and using the motor set up on the cyclone and just move it up to the front and rear with a single belt with two spurs,and use spacers to adjust, to get the pinons where i need them. was thinking a 1/8 or custom battery to power it. seen 10000mah NIMH cells there like 6 bucks a cell.

This thread needs 100% more pics. I wish I had some pics of different creations I made when I was a youngster. I don't think I even had a camera back then...

^ I actually had to fab more stuff than I expected to make the front end work...

It never saw the light of day. The RS4-MT used to self-destruct it's drivetrain turning all 4 giant tires. There's no way in h*ll the Pro 2 drivetrain would've lasted 30 seconds.
