ok im looking in to tires i got a good dill going buying in 20-40 sets at a time. but some one at the track said nitro tires are not good for elc cars.i see not deff in them. exp i run .005 faster then most ppl and i jurk my car around a lot more then i should.

First I'm assuming the 20-40 sets of "Nitro tires" are foam tires not rubber and assuming your running on ashpalt.


If your just bashing around, run what ever you want. But if your going to race then most clubs use rubber tires for electric cars , so it would be a waste to buy all those foam tires and not be able to race because you bought the wrong kind of tires.

yea, there foam rubber compound. there where cleared to be ran in the "open" class. where the only thing you haft to have the same is your rpms and battery you can have what every chassis you wont. but yea most ppl are running rubber tires.

but what i wont to know is what is the diff between nitro and non nitro tires b/c i can get rubber nitro tires just as easy and foam you know.

it there wear on the diff or something? do you get more grip? why do ppl look down on running nitro tries on a elc car is what i wont to know. like i said im only .005 faster then most ppl some times there are a few that have changed gears and run faster then me. i dont miss with me gears i have my car set.

i running basically slick and there running tread. i haft to ease on the power where they car nail it and go. at the track, so the way i see it is they get up to speed faster but i got a less grip turning but more acc on the straights if the tires grabe
