Default Please recommend tire truer

Guys,

I have about $250 to spend on a tire truer. I don't want a used one, so Hudy is out. Manual or auto truer is fine.

Please let me know what you think would be good.

Thanks!

The RD Logics one is nice.

I used mine quite alot for about 3 years, never had an issue, and still use it now for 12th tires.

+1

I agree with buying a used Hudy Tire Truer, they are nicer than any other brand new one on the market, plus they are workhorses.

I bought a 4-year old used one that I used weekly for a year that I let everyone else in the club use before I sold it to another local racer that is still using it.

Hudy Tire Truer = The only tire truer you will ever need to buy.

Ok guys, you've convinced me with some really sound reasoning, so I appreciate your input. I will routinely patrol eBay for a used Hudy. I've seen the used Hudy auto truers go for more than my budget...so I will keep my eyes peeled for a manual one.

ofna's auto truer is in your price range. it is a good value, and i would rather have the auto feed for the same $$ as a handfeed machine.

I've got the Corally auto truer for sale.
http://www.corallyusa.com/istar.asp?a=6&id=COR15012!COR

Used it for about 2 months and has sat in a closet for the last several years.

$150 + shipping.

If you look around at all the different RC forums For Sale section, you are bound to find a good deal. I picked up my 110v Hudy for like $150 with a couple arbors. Not only try RCTech, but look around Hobbytalk and a few other forums. Hudys are great truers and last a long time. I don't race foam tire TC anymore, but I keep it just in case I decide to get back into 12th scale or even WGT. It's a good investment.
